A California based company NDB has made a self-charging battery by trapping Carbon-14 (c14) nuclear wastes in artificial diamond- case.  The company claims the battery can run up for28,000 years.  This is called as Nano diamond batteries.

     Nuclear wastes  is hazardous for tens of thousands of years.  This clearly is unprecendent and poses a huge threat to our future generatuions.  Most nuclear waste is danger, due to its radioactive, for only a few tens of years  is routinely disposed of in near surface disposal facilities.

Advantages of nano diamond batteries

       As our day to day life is heavily dependent on, mobile battery- powered devices are there is a rapid increase in the demand on  efficient and cost batteries.  And the one time usable and rechargable batteries are thrown away and endup in landfills.  These batteries have heavy metals they contain toxic, so they can easily pollute the land and water.

    If the nano-diamond batteries are come to trade. It changes the world and it reduces the pollution and electricity.  It may be used in all electeic devices including electric cars, bikes, tv, mobiles and other compounds.
