What is mongoose bat ?

Mongoose Bat is a short blade long handle bat. Matthew Hayden (former player of Chennai Super Kings) played with this bat against Delhi Daredevils and now it is Delhi Capitals. He played very well with mongoose Bat against Delhi Daredevils. This is fit bat for lofted shot. But it’s disadvantage is in defensive strokes. This is an correct bat for T20 format. It is tougher to swing when the bat is at rest and tougher to make the bat to rest whet it is in motion.


How mongoose Bat differ from other Bats ?

The mongoose Bat is three times more wood at the bottom than other conventional bats which allows the batsman to hit the Yorkers and full toss with full force and power. The The bat has a 33% shorter blade and 43% longer handle than that of the conventional bat.
Why mongoose Bat is easier to hit the ball ?
Mongoose Bat is easier to hit the ball because of moment of inertia. Inertia depends on mass of the object. Moment of inertia means the mass is unevenly distributed. In the case of mongoose bat the mass is overly distributed in the bottom of the bat so it makes more effect than conventional bat.

For example we use axe to cut the tree because it have more mass at the edges than in the handle. Thus mongoose bat is more easier to hit the ball.
